Challenge Your Stash

Today is a fun day because I get to challenge my stash.  Fun because I get to dig in to something I haven't used in a while.  The challenge today came from Shelly.  Her challenge was to make a sympathy card using green and embellish it with 3 of something.

Well this card is definitely green and the 3 embellishments are the diecuts, rolled felt flowers and the 3 pearls in the center of my flowers.  Thanks Shelly for a great challenge.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #1713

Time again for another challenge from Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges.  This challenge (#1713) is Anything Goes as always.

This week is sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps.  If you haven't seen her stamps, you must check them out because they are just adorable.  So many cute images to pick from.  What I like about her images is that she always gives you a color version for ideas on how to color.  I think that is my biggest struggle when I color is to what color to use.

For my card today I used the image "Ellie Bouquet" from Di's Digi Stamps.  I colored her with my copic markers and loved how she turned out.

Let's see your work of art and enter the challenge this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges.

It's All About Birthdays

Have you been following Prickley Pear's blog and seeing some of the fantastic projects the design team has come up with?  I am continually inspired by the team and amazed at the fantastic stamps that Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps have in their inventory.

Today's theme is birthday so I thought I would come up with this simple birthday card.

I have some beautiful washi tapes so I decided to start with them as a background.  I then decided I wanted to use the Dragon stamp from the Dragonflies 2 Clear Stamp Set.  I used several of my new Distress Oxides that I just purchased and smudged them on paper and then sprayed with water.  Once I got this good watercolor effect, I stamped the dragon fly and then used the Dragon Fly die to cut it out.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by.  I have fun just seeing what clean and simple card I can come up with.

Mystery Swap Round 39

Thanks to Linda on the great choice this month for our Mystery Challenge.  I just love this image.  It is from Stampin Up called "From the Herd".
I colored the image with my copic markers, added the fence and grass and you have a great card.  This just has to make you smile because each character is so adorable.

Dueling Darlings Challenge

Time again for another Dueling Darlings Challenge.  This month it was LJ and Darlene coming up with a great theme.  The theme this month was "Lifts You Up".  Darlene sent me these wonderful diecuts and images that were from Stampin Up's "Life me up" set.  I wanted the large balloon to pop so I went to my distress inks and did a little watercolor for the background.  I think it really made the card pop.  The background papers are all from "Morocco" by SEI and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby (Ribbon Boutique).  The sequins are from The Paper Studio "Spare Parts".  I just love a card I can add sequins to somewhere.

Be sure and check out what some of my team mates came up with.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #1711

I am so excited for the start of my work on the Design Team for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges.  They always have fantastic sponsors and great prizes.

This week's challenge is sponsored by Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  She has the most adorable digital images that it was hard to choose which one I should use.  The one I finally decided on was "Easter Pasquali".  Isn't he just the cutest?
I started by coloring the image with my copic markers and then I decided to make a little shaker box behind him with fun sequins in it.  I also purchased the Happy Easter Scroll Sentiment to make it in to an adorable Easter Card.  I found the adorable carrot paper clip that I just had to use.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and please check out the rest of the Design Team and join us in this challenge.  Another plus is that it is always "Anything Goes" so you can do any type of card you would like.

Crafters of Faith

I loved the theme this month from Liz.  She wanted to use the scripture from Psalm 40:3 NLT "He has given me a new song to sing.  Liz wanted us to use a sunrise or sunset in our card.

There is nothing better than getting up in the morning a seeing a beautiful sunrise.  Since spring if almost here, I love to see the blooming flowers.  I wanted to make a congrats card for a co-worker as she has been promoted and it is well deserved.  I started with a blank piece of cardstock and started sponging the green grass.  After sponging on the grass I decided I wanted the sun to peek out so I punched a 1 3/4" circle out of masking paper and sponged the yellow sun on the inside.  I then took out a scalloped circle punch and started sponging with blue around it to give it a cloud look to it.  The flowers were then stamped on the paper.

I hope you enjoy my card.  Take the time to step outside and enjoy God's work in each day as the beautiful sunrises and sunsets are a complete work of art.

Prickley Pear Stamps

I am so excited to start my Design Team work with Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  This is such a good fit for me because I love their stamps.  If you haven't checked them out, be sure to do it because they are fabulous.  For my first day on the design team I was able to make 2 cards.
This is my first card that I made.  I used the stamps Singing Bluebirds  which I truly love.  I  find that birds and flowers are my stamps of choice.  I colored the image with my copic markers and then cut the stamped image out with one of Prickley Pear Dies called Flourish Oval - Nesting Die.  This die comes in a set of 3 which is a real bargain.  I then sponged around the edge before taking it out of the die.  It gives it that small amount of white around the edges.  I then added the butterfly and flowers that were out of the stamp set called Mini Butterflies.

This is my second card that I made.  For this card I used the lovely easter stamp called "Easter Flowers".  For this card I pulled out my zig watercolor markers and used them on water color paper.  Amazingly enough I only used 4 colors of markers.  I think that is why I like the zig watercolor markers so well.

Thanks for stopping by to see my designs.  You must check out Prickley Pear Stamps because they are such a bargain.  For instance the Mini Butterflies set has 22 images.  What a bargain.

Be sure and look at the Prickley Pear Blog and see what the other team members have designed this week.
