Halloween Card

I am in a group of gals who like to challenge each other with different challenges each month.  This month Deanna came up with the fun stamp from Simply B Stamps called Bewitched.  I colored the image with my copics and then thought, now what?  I always love going to different sketch challenges to find something that would work with my image.  I found this great sketch challenge Hand Stamped Sentiments.
I felt this fit in perfect with what I wanted to do.
I thought it made a great Halloween  card.  Be sure and check out other people who did the challenge.  I love what people come up with on sketch challenges.

Two Paper Divas

Today I am posting a picture of one of my favorite stamp sets released this month from Two Paper Divas.  I have a new adorable great nephew named Eli and this was the perfect card for him.  I started with brayering the top card with Marina Mist Stampin Up ink and then sponged the bottom of the card with Garden GReen from Stamp up.  I then stamped the clothesline post from the "Wanna Hang Out" stamp set which I colored with my copic markers.  I then stamped the onesies, bunny and baby toys from the "Baby Clothesline Accessories Set".  I just love these little images.  I fussy cut them out and glued them on the clothesline.

What a fun set.  Can't wait to see what is in store from Two Paper Divas for October.

Two Paper Divas

Today I have made a card with my new set of stamps from Two Paper Divas called "All Stacked Up".  You have to just love this adorable set.  This reminds of a bowl of yummy potato soup or a large cup of hot chocolate.  Yes, I think fall is right around the corner.  I used my zig watercolor brushes for color in this card.  I just love the bright colors that the zig markers carry.  The sentiment is from  Two Paper Divas "Everyday Sentiments" set.

Hope you enjoy the weekend.  Go out and "Celebrate".

Mystery Swap Round 30

Here is yet another group that I have joined through Splitcoast Stampers.  My friend Kelly has been so kind to invite to these challenges.  This image is "Bouquets of Wishes" by Hero Arts.
So with this challenge I made 4 cards and passed them on.  I will then receive 3 cards back from different people.  What a great way to see what other talented people are doing.

Dueling Darlings

I have recently joined some very talented ladies through Splitcoast Stampers in a group called Dueling Darlings.  I always love a challenge.  Each month two gals pick a theme for their card kit.  This month, our hostesses were Kelly and Jeanette and they chose their theme as "Tutti Fruity".  They chose an adorable image by Penny Black called "Hedgy Gift".  The sentiment inside the card is "Apples Are Dangerous" by Riley.  Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the inside of my card.  Sentiment was perfect for this image.

Another part of the challenge was to share a favorite Tutti Fruity recipe.  So I am going to share one of my favorite fruit recipes.

Fruit Pizza
2 Cups Yellow Cake Mix
1 Egg
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Water
1 cup chopped Pecans
2 Tbsp Melted Butter

Mix all together and spread on small cookie sheet.  Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.  Cool completely.  Mix the following ingredients and layer on the cooled cookie.

1 cup powdered sugar
4 oz. cream cheese
1 cup cool whip

Sprinkle assorted fruit (strawberries, blueberries, peaches, pineapple, bananas, Mandarine oranges) on top of cream cheese mixture.  If you like coconut you can sprinkle coconut on top of that.  I have doubled this recipe and will fit nicely on a large cookie sheet.  Hope you enjoy this recipe.

I just love this image.  Thanks Kelly and Jeanette for a great challenge.

From The Heart Stamps September Image

I love the digital stamps that are made by Faith at From the Heart Stamps.  If you follow their blog, you will know that they have a monthly challenge.  For the month of September the image is called Pumpkin Patch Girl (Faithful Friends).  This is a progressive challenge, meaning you need to play along to receive the next image for free, so come join this fun challenge.

Not only is the image adorable, there is always great sentiments to go along with the images.  I found the sketch challenge this week at MoJo Monday and thought it would be perfect for this adorable image.
Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure and check out some of the other adorable images in the FTHS store.

Two Paper Divas

Time again for a card from Two Paper Divas September release.
This stamp set is called Big Birthday Wishes   and is so much fun to color.  I stamped the image on water color paper and then colored it with my zig clean color water color markers.  Isn't this just beautiful with those bright colors?

Check back next Friday because I have the most adorable baby card with another release from Two Paper Divas this month.

Bird Crazy

I recently purchased the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy and Flower Garden Stamp Sets.  I am having so much fun with them.  When I started to color I wondered hmmm my zig markers or the distress inks.  I thought well I will try both a decide which I like best.

I first stamped the image on watercolor paper and then clear embossed over the image.  It gives it a bit of a raised effect.  For my first image I used the following colors of Distress Inks.  For the bird I used Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass and Spiced Marmalade.  For the Flower I used Scattered Straw, Pickled Raspberry, Gathered Twigs, Rusty Hinge and Mowed Lawn.  I thought it turned out okay.   I first saw the great idea of putting the flower on the birds head at "That's Life" Blog.  Wish I could say it was an original idea but no.
Well then I decided to used my Zig Clean Color Watercolor Markers.  Now I know why I like them so much.  Just look how vibrant the colors are on this card.  I am loving them more every day.  They blend so nicely.  For the card I used the following colors:  Bird - 051 Cobalt Blue, 051 Lemon Yellow, 070 Orange;  Flower - 050 Yellow, 025 Pink, 060 Brown, 064 Oatmeal, 041 Light Green.
The sentiment was perfect for this goofy card.  It is from Tim Holtz Crazy Talk.  One thing leads to another and each is a have to own.

I decided to enter these cards in a couple challenges:

Scrapbook Blessings Club - Anything goes - Use your Favorite Technique (Mine is currently Watercoloring)
Digitally Sweet Challenge - Use anything with wings - My little birds have wings
Creative Knockouts - Flower Power

This is just a fun halloween card.  One of the new sets this month from Two Paper Divas has this fun fence, bats, moon and crow.  I just love this set.  I used my brayer with a yellow ink first and then a purple for the top.  Doesn't this just look Spooky??
